The method and the results of a radio-ecological study of the Nesvetaiskaya and the Novocherkasskaya district power stations, which operate on the coals of the Eastern Donbass, are discussed. The contamination of the Earth's surface by natural radionuclides (~(40)K, ~(238)U, ~(232)Th, ~(226)Ra, ~(210)Pb) and at the surface air with the isotopes ~(222)Rn are determined.
