The development of a single method for the relative comparison of the thermohydraulic efficiency of heat-transfer surfaces and heat exchangers of different types(tubular from finned and plain tubes and plate- like finned tubes)is discussed. The way to use the method is illustrated by the results of comparative experi- mental investigations of heat-transfer surfaces and heat exchangers.
