Growing, or at least holding, mar ket share in a consolidating market · Trying to make it through a down turn without decimating a valued workforce · Successfully transferring the own ership and management of a family business to a second generation · Dealing with the special difficulties tied to an urban operation · Merging two distinctly different and well-established organizations But it's unlikely that many electrical service firms have ever faced the kind of "ultimate challenge" that was recently taken on by Horner Electric, headquartered here. In a frenzied period that came to a head in the last half of 2003, plates relating to all of these issues were spinning in the air simultaneously at Horner.
