Weaving destination, a weaving collective in northeast india, produces unique handwoven textiles that are now available for purchase through an online shop at Etsy.com/shop/WeavingDestination-all because of a chance meeting of two like-minded individuals. Sewer and blogger Debi Fry and cofounder of the Nedan Foundation, Javita Narang, began a partnership in 2012 to expand the reach of Weaving Destination, an initiative estab- lished in 2008 by the Nedan Foundation. After meeting during a women entrepreneurs' workshop, Debi and Javita quickly discovered their common entrepreneurial goals and professional experiences working with abused children and women. Since then, their work together has brought Weaving Destination's products to the global sewing community.
