摘要

For Diane Ericson, designing and creating involves an audience. Her current studio occupies a portion of a 9,000-square-foot historic building in downtown Ashland, Oregon. In the Ashland Art Center, "All the studios are open, giving visitors a chance to view the process of making art," Diane says. "I love figuring out inventive ways to share the process." Diane's at work and on-view at the same time and it is inspiring to her. She's known for being able to incorporate a multitude of techniques (printing fabrics, stenciling, quilting, applique, pin-weaving, burnishing, dyeing...) as well as unique notions and natural or manmade found objects in her garments and artworks. Her pattern line, Revisions, is meant to inspire sewers to experiment with favorite or new techniques.
