摘要

After working in the garment industry for many years, I've set hundreds of miles of zippers and tried many different methods for inserting lapped zippers. In the following pages, I'll show you my favorite: a fast, easy, foolproof method that doesn't use any pins or glue and doesn't require any basting. The final result looks as beautiful in a curved side seam as it does in a center-back location. The zipper is completely concealed, and the only visible stitching is the topstitching along the overlap. And, with my special continuous-sewing trick, you won't need to cut threads or adjust the zipper foot. Best of all, you'll never get distortion or a nasty pucker at the bottom of the zipper again.
