When I grew up in Newfoundland, my family didn't have much, but my parents always made sure I had one good coat. This sensibility has strongly influenced my work as a designer. For me, a coat exudes a generosity in spirit and enjoys a longevity un-equaled by other garments. In my opinion, a great coat is the most important item of clothing in a woman's wardrobe, therefore it's a garment that deserves an extra-special design.
