Matthew has been managing director of Porter Logistics since October 2005. He has occupied a variety of management roles for major third parly logistics. companies and spent the previous seven years with Saint-Gobain in the UK - most recently as Jewson's logistics director. What are the big advances in multimodal logistics? "More and better UK port facilities implemented and planned for in terms of port centric warehousing and intermodal facilities for handling containers from sea to road and rail. More use of the channel tunnels for rail freight in both intermodal units and larger European high capacity wagons using HS1. More and better UK inland RFT facilities implemented and planned for."
