Roll Containers Handling Ltd has been awarded a substantial order for new Large Roll Cages for Vauxhall Motors Aftersales. All Vauxhall dealerships get daily deliveries of Aftersales parts which can range from bulky items such as a new bonnet through to tiny nuts and bolts. The impressive Distribution Centre in Luton handles all storage and picking activities, and despatches parts predominantly through roll cages. Vauxhall decided to invest in a new fleet of roll cages and after an exhaustive worldwide tender exercise, a £1/4 million order was placed with Roll Containers. The existing design, including a deadlock braking system, was reviewed and enhanced in certain places. After trials to approve a prototype, production commenced at Roll Containers' factory in Kettering.
