A weekly donation from Santa Fe Natural Tobacco (SFNT) has helped Area Congregations in Ministry (ACIM) in Granville County, N.C., provide fresh food in addition to the non-perishable canned or boxed goods that ACIM has been providing for decades. Thirty-year-old SFNT has built a solid reputation for charitable giving and its latest outreach is called "From Field to Table - Sustaining Farms and Families." The company has donated about $2,000 worth of fresh, organically grown produce to ACIM each week, and when ACIM clients drop by to pick up their canned and boxed food items, they also head home with a variety of fresh foods, such as peanuts, lettuce, Swiss chard, cilantro, bok choy, radishes and green beans.
