In an effort to suggest that e-cigarettes may "represent a powerful way to transition tobacco users off of tobacco," Logic E-Cigs founder Eli Alelov has sponsored a teaser study under the control of Dr. Keith Ablow, MD. The study was designed to determine, albeit on a small scale, whether the smokeless tobacco product actually helps people quit smoking. It seems clear that what Alelov really wants is a larger, more comprehensive, scientific study done and that this is as good a way as any to prompt the government to consider it.
