The core business of Tobacco Products International Limited (TPIL) is providing cut-rag for cigarette manufacturers who don't have a primary production line and who are looking for the right blends to suit their market requirements. Therefore, TPIL works according to three guiding principles: to provide cut-rag to the exacting specifications set by customers; to develop new cut-rag blends in accordance with customers' requirements and markets; and to provide logistics expertise to minimize freight costs for customers. "Once a potential customer realizes that cut-rag is our core business ― backed up by in excess of 80 years combined experience in the tobacco industry ― their confidence in getting good products and service is heightened," says Alan Milligan. "And our experience extends further than simply creating blends. We also support the after-sales side of the business. We have extensive logistical experience and numerous contacts based in certain areas with whom our customers may liaise with locally."
