A cartoonist might have illustrated the presentation of the Digital Britain report with a drawing of Lord Carter dropping a bomb in a small room and then running off.That may be a harsh assessment-although Carteris stepping down just as we are all digesting the contents of the report-but the recommendations predictably unleashed a torrent of comments from political and industry commentators, not all of them favourable.rnGovernment efforts to seek equitable broadband access are always welcome. Yet in this instance it seems the UK, while stressing how much communications now underpins the domestic economy, is setting itseff mediocre targets.
