摘要

This work summarizes some of the irradiation experiment designs and capabilities that have been developed at ORNL in the hope that this information will help improve future NSUF proposals and inspire new ideas for irradiations that can be performed in the HFIR. The typical experiment capsule geometry, available positions, neutron flux, and gamma heating is provided for all experimental facilities. Some existing irradiation designs are briefly described including the specimen material, geometry, and design temperatures.
