摘要

Based on results obtained multiplicity analysis will not be achievable using a single JCC71 slab because of the low efficiency and high uncertainty especially in the triple moment. However, multiplicity analysis can be performed using the double JCC-71 slab (although certain aspects can be improved i.e. efficiency by using either polyethylene or graphite blocks to reflect neutrons). Also Singles moments of a source are less sensitive to distance and can be detected at about any distance ranging from 0 cm -24 cm. Doubles and Triples are rapidly increasingly sensitive, relative to that for the Singles, and would have acceptable associated uncertainty in the range of 0 to 4 cm from the slab surface. An extensive study is planned using modeled fuel assemblies representing the Thorium fuel cycle [8] for the multi-slab configuration similar to previously published work [9] which was accomplished for the Uranium fuel cycle.
