摘要

In this paper, an overview of the FHR passive decay heat removal strategy is given. Emphasis has been given on the development of a robust FHR DRACS passive decay-heat-removal system that would (1) efficiently dump heat to the atmosphere if the primary system temperatures were above normal operating conditions, (2) limited heat rejection at lower temperatures, and (3) assure that neither the DRACS nor the reactor coolant freeze. The temperature ranges indicate the potential to couple developed technologies, DRACS from the SFR and a RVAC type air-cooled heat exchanger from the HTGR.
