摘要

To evaluate unsteady eddy structures of a plane turbulent jet in the dimension of time and scale, velocity signals were analyzed using continuous and discrete wavelet transforms in this paper. By analyzing the distribution of coefficients of continuous wavelet transform, localized nearly periodic eddy motions with α=64, 100 and 180 ms were observed in the shear layer of x/d=8.5 in the time ranges of t=0-220, 280-600 and 680-1000 ms, respectively.
