摘要

Two-dimensional shock waves in a uniform van der Waals gas flow are studied analytically and numerically. At first, shock polar diagrams are obtained and some important features of shock transitions which are different from those of an ideal gas are discussed in detail. Next, an evolution condition that was found for normal shock waves in the previous paper is applied to the transition components normal to the shock surface and then stable transition regions in the shock polars are predicted. Based on these results, interesting features of two-dimensional shock transition are discussed. Finally some steady shocks that are stable according to the present theoretical prediction are simulated numerically by using a finite-difference TVD-scheme.
