The evenings of 12 and 14 November 2015 saw the QEII Queensland Sports and Athletic Centre Stadium at Nathan host the AC/DC 'Rock or Bust World Tour' concerts. This Stadium was purpose built for the 1982 Commonwealth Games, and could temporarily hold 100,000 patrons. During the Games, all travel to and from the Stadium was by bus. Services were direct or from Banoon and Sunnybank railway stations: major and surrounding roads were closed to all but Games vehicles and designated local residents and there was no parking permitted within one or two kilometres. The result was that one of Australia's largest public transport facilities, rivalling in size and passenger capacity Sydney's former Randwick Racecourse tramway facility, was constructed. After the Games temporary seating was removed from the Stadium, but the transport facility remained basically intact and almost unused.
