A 10 per cent stake in Kamaz, Russia's biggest heavy truck manufacturer, has been bought by Daimler, the Mercedes-Benz parent group, in a US$250 million (£167 million) deal with Troika Dialog, a Russian investment company. A further payment of US$50 million (£33 million, due in 2012, is conditional on Kamaz hitting agreed business targets. As a result of the deal, Kamaz will share some Daimler truck technology and components, including the Actros cab.
