As many of our Members may be aware, the Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) for Transport Managers is undergoing its most significant change since its inception. Yes, we've seen changes in the exam structure with the inclusion of the dreaded case study in 1999, however, the current changes have much wider reaching implications for new and existing operators. EC Regulation 1071 / 2009 will take effect on 4~(th) December 2011. This regulation standardises rules for operator licensing throughout the EU and lays down the requisite qualifications for professional competence for Transport Managers from this date. The changes are wide ranging but include:
