You might take from reading the title of this message that I may talk about illegal immigration, the U.S. federal budget deficit or the war against terrorists. But instead, I want to focus on trenchless technology's influence in Washington, D.C. As presented in this issue's cover story - City of Philadelphia - it is increasingly the case that cities can do more with fewer funds by using trenchless technology vs. cut-and-cover in reconstruction. That said and understood, it would be great if our political leaders in the infrastructure arena gave more serious consideration to funding endeavors that feature trenchless construction.
