In January 2009,1 made the transition from the consulting industry into academics by accepting an assistant professorship in the Del E.Webb School of Construction at Arizona State University. After spending a little more than eight years in the contracting and municipal consulting industry, I felt I had gleaned enough supplemental knowledge and practical experience in order to contribute in a positive and meaningful way to students heading out into the construction industry.
