Flexbending cell technology - an alternative to dedicated and CNC bending processes

摘要

In today's fast paced global economy, manufacturers face greater challenges than ever before. Shorter product life cycles, enhanced product quality expectations and decreased production costs are causing companies to take a close look at their current manufacturing processes. Flexbending cell technology fills the gap in the current marketplace for a bending cell that is mechanically reconfigured and electronically repro-grammed to run a variety of parts. The present available products include standard benders, dedicated automatic benders and CNC benders. The Flexbending process produces a part for every bend that a CNC bender completes. The production rate that Flexbending affords has the capability of being 10% faster than present dedicated automatic benders. This increased rate is due to simultaneous bend operations which are made possible by transferring the part. This compares to performing the bends at one clamp position and then reloading to complete a full cycle.
