Mannesmann Demag HUttentechnik-MDS Walzwerktechnik has won an order for the main production lines of a complete cold rolling mill from the Korean steel producer Dongbu Steel Co Ltd. The mill is being erected in the Asan Bay region and will have a capacity of 1.335m tonnes per year. It is being built to produce strips meeting a high degree of precision for the automotive industry as well as large-width black plate as initial material for galvanizing. The qualities range from deep drawing grades to high-strength, low-alloyed steels.
