The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has offered to extend technical assistance to the Jakarta city administration to support the mass rapid transit (MRT) project's east-west route. The route ranges from Balaraja in Banten to Cikarang in Bekasi, West Java. The administration is still conducting a feasibility study for its construction. MRT president director Dono Boestami said the city is still discussing the ADB's offer. "The ADB offered technical assistance for the east-west MRT route. "The assistance includes financial provisions for transaction advisory services to ensure that world-class financial and legal advisers are appointed to the project," Dono said in Jakarta on 8 Oct. 2014.
