Infrastructure engineering organisation MARG of India has awarded Mott MacDonald a design contract for the sea-water intake, outfall and circulation cooling system for a 2x250MW lignite-fuelled thermal power plant at Padva in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, India.MARG has until July 2013 to complete the work. The owner, Bhavangar Energy is developing the plant to meet increasing power demand from the large industrial facilities in the district.Mott MacDonald will undertake detailed engineering of the system including intake and offshore and onshore pipelines.
