摘要

The methods of X-ray diffraction study, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), differential thermal analysis are used for structure investigation of manganese dioxide samples from the various origin: electrolytic and chemically synthesized. It is shown, that the structural distinctions, in particular degree a deviation of composition from a stoichiometry, determine electrochemical activity and behavior of compound. The dependence of manganese dioxide catalitic activity on the contents in it of low-valence ions of manganese and various kinds of water is established.
