The safety committee of the British Medical Ultrasound Society has drawn up guidance that is intended to encourage bestnpractice in determining and reporting the exposure conditions used in ultrasound bio-effect studies among researchers.nThe guidance addresses diagnostic and therapeutic applications of ultrasound, and is intended for bio-effects researchers,nreview boards of ethical and funding committees, and the editors and reviewers of scientific journals.
