The innovative use of unmanned systems in the construction and mining industries promises to disrupt the modus operandi for two primary reasons: increased safety and lowered costs. PwC, the former Pricewaterhouse Coopers, found the "addressable market value of drone powered solutions [to be] over $127 billion" in 2016, with $45.2 billion of that coming from infrastructure. PwC says the total reflects the "value of current business services and labor that are likely to be replaced ... by drone-powered solutions."
