A British Army demonstration of unmanned aircraft and ground vehicles was such a success that it could speed the further adoption of such systems by the military. For its 2018 Army Warfighting Experiment, the British Army invited a range of unmanned aerial and ground vehicles to its Copehill Down facility on Salisbury Plain to partake in the demonstration of a number of potential mission scenarios to gauge if these capabilities could bolster the service's operational advantage in the years to come. Held from mid-November to mid-December, the systems that were involved in Exercise Autonomous Warrior were pitted against the U.K.'s often challenging winter weather, demonstrating how they could be used to the advantage of the army during logistics resupply, overhead surveillance, and target acquisition/ cueing missions, to name a few.
