Unmanned aircraft are getting more flexible, as anyone attending Xponential in Chicago could see. Case in point: two systems on display that are taking interesting new tacks to get the job done. One was from U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command, which displayed the Altius drone, an essentially finished product that can be launched from tubes on host aircraft, fly below rough weather and transmit imagery back to its host vehicle.
