Imagine turning a two-hour trip into a 12-minute trip by eliminating all traffic, freeing up travel speeds of 700 mph, and possibly faster. That noble concept might soon become a reality, if the Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) and Hyperloop One have their way. BIG and Hyperloop One have expressed a strong interest in creating the world's first Hyperloop pods and portals in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The fully autonomous transportation system, known as 'DevLoop,' would connect downtown Dubai to downtown Abu Dhabi, which are 99 miles apart. The system would cut down travel time by more than an hour and a half, and it would also eliminate the need for planning ahead because of costs.
