In August, Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio, opened a new $5 million National UAS Training and Certification Center facility. The 28,000-square-foot facility houses a learning facility, wind tunnel, engine testing area, a simulation lab, sensors and avionics stations, and an advanced and additive manufacturing machinery area. The center will also house the college's manned aviation program, making it one of the few dual manned-unmanned training centers in the country, according to a university press release. For the simulation classroom, AEgis Technologies supplied its Vampire Institutional Training System and Simlat has its IMPACT System.
