The French National Research Agency (ANR) has partnered with oil and gas company Total to launch the ARGOS Challenge, intended to develop advanced ground robots for working in oil and gas environments, including in hazardous elements. Total, which will fund the competition, will pay for three to five teams to compete for more than two and a half years, with a deadline for application submissions set for 18 March and team selection scheduled for June.
