This month marks my three-year anniversary at AUVSI. As I reflect on my journey from my first day walking into the world of unmanned systems to today, I must say we have come a long way. My first day started in what is now a typical day here for me at AUVSI - high pace, high action, getting the word out to our members and about our members. You see, my first day at AUVSI was the day the Fukushima nuclear plant went into meltdown. Before I could find out where the copier and coffee maker were, I was firing off notices to our members that the Japanese government was in dire need of unmanned systems to help assess the damage and get everything under control.
