In January, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University hosted the AUVSI Florida Peninsula Chapter on campus for a board meeting and panel discussion about unmanned systems. Roughly 30 ERAU students, faculty and interested members of the public attended the event, which included lab tours and presentations on unmanned and robotic projects. ERAU holds the distinction as being the only university that competes in student unmanned systems competitions for every domain of unmanned systems - space, sea, air and ground. AUVSI FPC board members were treated to a tour of ERAU capabilities and projects, including a lidar demonstration, aero models and a self-driving car. The ERAU faculty and students were excited to share information about their projects.
