Austria-based Riegl announced that it has released a new app that allows for easier lidar data demonstrations through an iPad. The RiALITY app provides visualization and navigation of point clouds acquired through the company's laser scanners. The point clouds are displayed in true color and in 3-D. The app also features an augmented reality mode, which allows the point clouds to be virtually projected into the real world. The scans can also be imported from the company's RiSCAN Pro software to the app.
