摘要

Wide-area motion imagery sensors for unmanned aircraft systems have transitioned from the laboratory to the battlefield over the past few years, and government and industry officials expect to see this surveillance technology become more prevalent in the near future. WAMI sensors were originally conceived for military operations that demanded both a high-resolution view of a broad swath of land and the ability to zoom in on a particular area. These systems were initially expensive to build and maintain and too large for many UAS, limiting their usage.
