Defense Research Associates Inc. was awarded a $5 million contract with the U.S. Air Force as part of an ongoing effort to develop and demonstrate sense-and-avoid technology that would prevent collisions between both manned and unmanned aircraft. The 18-month contract includes options that, if exercised, would bring the cumulative contract value up to $7.4 million.
