The U.S. subsidiary of Israel's Elbit Systems, Elbit Systems of America, has won a $9.6 million contract by the U.S. Marine Corps Systems Command based out of Quantico, Va., to built the Joint Terminal Attack Controller Laser Target Designator (JTAC LTD), a lightweight, battery-power laser target designator and marker. The contract will be performed over a year's time, including production and training, and contains options for logistics support, which could bring its total value to $10.8 million.
