QThe House just passed an FAA reauthorization bill that calls for integrating unmanned aircraft into the National Airspace System by 2015. What do you feel is an appropriate timeline for the integration of unmanned aircraft into the NAS? A I think that was a good effort. When we started the caucus, we called it the unmanned air caucus, the unmanned aerial vehicle caucus. And now we've changed it. Back when we did that, we had two meetings that first year. One was with Adm. [Gary] Roughead [the chief of naval operations] and one was with [the] FAA and other people. I think we made a little progress, but I hear from people that there is pushback. So the main thing we need to do, just passing it here doesn't make it law. We need to focus and get it done in the Senate. Keep it in the bill. And then we can oversight, push, apply pressure, and I would like to see it done as fast as possible. 2015 should be an outside [date]. The whole industry is moving so rapidly that we shouldn't get in their way. We need this effort.
