This year, it's Gorgon Stare. By 2013, it'll be 65 combat air patrols a day. And by 2047, it'll be fully autonomous swarming and target engagement.rnIt's clear from the U.S. Air Force's Unmanned Aircraft Systems Flight Plan 2009-2047 that the service's long- and short-term goals revolve around an Argos level of situational awareness and force multiplication. But getting there will be a challenge. Officials at an Air Force UAS symposium held in April at Mississippi State University addressed possible issues and called on the community to come together and solve them.
