In the January issue of Unmanned Systems, my column detailed some of the activities AUVSI undertook in 2009 to work with a variety of stakeholders to accelerate UAS access into the National Airspace System (NAS). I also mentioned that 2010 promised to be even busier.rnThis has been the case. While we haven't solved the complex challenge of getting UAS access to the NAS, we've enjoyed quite a bit of our own access to the key organizations and individuals that are working to make that happen. This is going to be a difficult road ahead, but we are making positive strides in the right direction.
