As space exploration continues to rely on unmanned systems technology, NASA and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Space Council say emerging technologies will soon marry manned and unmanned systems on the moon and into the outer reaches of the solar system.rnWith critics calling for the next president to scrap the aging space shuttle fleet ahead of its impending retirement in 2010, NASA continues preparation for the deployment by 2015 of the next-generation Project Constellation manned system, consisting of the Ares 5 launch vehicle and the Orion and Altair crew capsules (although the fate of these systems under the Obama Administration is not yet known, either).
