Last year at this time, the headline in my magazine column was "CY 2006 Budget Approved — All Time AUVSI Spending High! Guess what? Same title this year except 2006 is now 2007. That's correct — with continuing attendee and exhibitor growth at AUVSI's Unmanned Systems North America event, we are afforded the opportunity to reinvest that influx of funds and spend more time on providing services to our membership. With that as background, I am pleased to tell you that the AUVSI Board of Directors has approved AUVSI's largest ever budget for Calendar Year 2007, approximately $5 million, which is an increase of about 20% over the previous year.
