The development of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) has arguably traced an inverse path relative to that of traditional vehicular evolution. UAVs have mastered the stratosphere and beyond well in advance of their ability to dominate the proximate spaces where they are most needed today. Ironically, the final frontiers for the UAV are the closest spaces at hand.
