Stark Aerospace, the U.S. subsidfary of Israel Aerospace Industries Ltd., held a grand opening ceremony in Starkville, Miss., in September, leading toward a push for new customers for its unmanned aerial vehicles and equipment.rnThe company manufactures the Hunter unmanned aerial vehicle for Northrop Grumman, and services IAI's Plug-in Optronic Payload that flies on AAI Corp.'s Shadow unmanned aerial systems.rn"Not only is Mississippi becoming a desired location for aerospace companies of all types in which to invest and create jobs, our state is also becoming specifically a center for unmanned aerial vehicle production," Sen. Trent Lott, a Mississippi Republican, said at the Sept. 17 event. "This facility joins other plants in South Mississippi which are turning out UAVs that help save military lives and enhance our intelligence gathering and combat capability."
