摘要

Image quality, video compression, and size, weight and power reductions are degraded by external influences, particularly vibration, in gimbal mounted optical imaging system across a variety of applications including fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, missiles and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). Our concept is to demonstrate, through physical principles, and verify, through experimentation, the degree of static balance required to minimize the detrimental effects of external vibration to an acceptable level.
