The Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) held its annual conference and trade show---Unmanned Systems North America 2005--- June 28-30 at the Baltimore Convention Center, Baltimore, MD, representing the world's largest gathering of the unmanned community to date. About 3,500 visitors attended AUVSI's 32nd annual symposium and trade show. It was the broadest unmanned systems equipment display ever, filling 153,000 square feet of the convention center's exhibit hall floor space. There were 215 exhibiting organizations, up from the 201 in 2004. Packed meeting rooms and industry booths provided the latest information on issues impacting the unmanned systems community, while also providing networking opportunities between pre-convention workshops, plenary, technical and poster sessions and social events, including the annual awards luncheon.
